From Gilbert and Sullivan to Lennon and McCartney to Bernstein and Sondheim, a church hall will be filled with the music of them all.

The popular Dorian Singers will be presenting their summer concert at Kirton with music from the world of Pop, Stage and Screen – sounds that everyone will know, and will get feet tapping.

Tickets are already on sale for the event, which takes place at the church hall in Church lane on Saturday, June 29 at 7.30pm and will also feature strawberries and wine served in the interval.

It will be an evening of musical duos with the lively music of Arthur Sullivan and witty words of WS Gilbert, followed by the choir’s own take on The Beatles and the amazing tunes from the songwriting partnership of Lennon and McCartney.

The final pair celebrated will be Bernstein and Sondheim with a selection from West Side Story, a modern version of Romeo and Juliet set in the west side of New York.

Conductor will be Jean Shaw and the accompanist will be Judith Inge.

Proceeds will be given to the Woolverstone Wish Appeal at Ipswich Hospital

Tickets are £8 and £7 concessions and are available from the Card Centre, Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, choir members or on the door on the night.
