An elf themed day held by a funeral directors in Felixstowe has raised hundreds of pounds in support of dementia patients.

David Button Independent Funeral Directors held the elf day coffee and cake morning with the mayor and mayoress Nick and Judy Barber, alongside dignitaries and members of the community.

Some of the cakes were iced with elf decorations, while elf hats were also sported by some of the volunteers.

The day raised £400, which will go to the Alzheimer’s Society to help fund research and care for those with dementia.

David Button, who is a member of the Felixstowe Dementia Action Alliance, said: “We were overwhelmed by the fantastic turn out and support for our elf day cake and coffee morning.

“The local community and businesses came together to make elf day a resounding success and I would like to thank everyone that was involved.”
