MAYOR of Felixstowe Mike Deacon is hoping his two chosen charities for his year in office will receive a great Christmas boost – thanks to some seasonal sounds.

Tickets are on sale for the Mayor’s Charity Christmas Concert featuring Martlesham Brass Band, female harmony group Tutti Frutti and the Felixstowe Academy String Ensemble.

Tutti Frutti’s programme will include Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, Hal David and Burt Bacharach’s Say A Little Prayer and Rollo Dilworth’s Shine on Me, while the Martlesham Brass Band will play pieces such as The Snowman, Merry Christmas Everybody and Mistletoe and Wine.

The event is on December 12 at 7.30pm at St John’s Church – tickets 10 adults, 7.50 child/senior citizens from Felixstowe Town Hall.

The evening will raise money for the Level Two youth project and FACTS.

Level Two works with young people aged ten to 25 providing a range of services, while FACTS, which now has three minibuses, two cars driven by volunteers and some volunteers using their own vehicles, provides transport for the housebound and those who have difficulty using other forms of public or private transport.
