FELIXSTOWE: Police are today investigating a fresh series of thefts and attempted thefts from cars in the Felixstowe area.
Thieves gained entry to a silver Honda parked at Meadowlands, Kirton, and stole a small amount of change in a cardboard box.
Police are keen to trace three older teenagers – described as male and wearing hooded tops – seen acting suspiciously in the area at about 3am on Monday.
A black Toyota and a maroon Rover, both parked in High Road, Trimley, were entered between 5pm on Sunday and 7.10am on Monday and searches were made. Nothing was stolen from either vehicle.
Cigarettes, purple woollen gloves and a quantity of loose change were taken from a green Rover parked at Adastral Close, Felixstowe, between 7pm Saturday and 2.45pm Sunday.
Police urged motorists to lock their vehicles and to remove all valuables as most car crime in the area has occurred where owners have left vehicles unlocked.
