WHEN Darryl Bundy went out on the night of December 16 last year, he expected to be home within quarter of an hour.

Accompanied by his brother Steven, 24, he left the family home in Stour Avenue, giving his mum a kiss. She would never see him alive again.

“He gave me a peck on the cheek, told me he would be back in 15 minutes, and went out with a smile on his face,” said his mum Veda Bundy.

“It was the last time I would speak to him.”

Mr Bundy went to John Treasure’s home in Selvale Way. His brother followed him into the property after hearing a commotion inside.

When Steven entered, Mr Bundy turned to him and said, “I’ve been stabbed.”

Frantic attempts were made to save his life while the ambulance raced to the scene. His last words to Steven were: “Tell mum I love her.”

He later died in hospital.

Mr Bundy was a professional tattoo artist, and had been living in the Wirral for the past four years with his partner of ten years, Kerry Roberts, 32.

He returned home in December for a short while to visit family and because his grandmother was unwell.

His family say he was “full of energy, always talking. He was such a charmer and a wonderful son, perfect.”
