People are being urged to put their best foot forward and get involved with a sponsored walk for two children’s charities.

The Onesie Walk at Felixstowe seafront on Saturday, May 25, will see people of all ages donning their onesies to raise funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and Town Kids Trust, run by Town 102.

The family sponsored walk will start at 11am opposite Manning’s Amusements in Sea Road, Felixstowe.

Onesie walkers will follow a route to the Spa and back, joined by Cheeko the Monkey, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick the starfish and some other favourite characters.

There will also be a sandcastle building competition, best onesie contest and a quiz as well as face painting and refreshment stops along the route.

People who can’t join the walk can host their own ‘Onesie Wednesday,’ wearing a onesie to work or school on a Wednesday during May and donating £1.

Patsy Johnson-Cisse, EACH Suffolk fundraiser and event organiser, said: “We’re so excited about the Onesie Walk and Wednesday which we’re sure will be popular and raise much-needed funds for two local charities.”
