FIREFIGHTERS battled for more than an hour to control a blaze at an Indian restaurant in Suffolk today.A fire was reported at the Rose of Bengal Indian restaurant in Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, at shortly after 8am.
FIREFIGHTERS battled for more than an hour to control a blaze at an Indian restaurant in Suffolk today.
A fire was reported at the Rose of Bengal Indian restaurant in Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, at shortly after 8am.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said smoke was emerging from an attic window and firefighters found flames had taken hold in a second floor cupboard.
A total of three appliances and a turntable ladder were called to the scene and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a single hose reel jet to control the flames by 9.26am.
