FIREFIGHTERS are this morning keeping a watching brief on a van fire which was thought to involve acetylene cylinders.
Crews from Holbrook and Ipswich were called to the blaze, in Wades Lane, Shotley at 9.10pm.
They were faced with a commercial vehicle “heavily involved in fire” with “unknown cylinders” also involved.
At midnight the fire service said that the cylinders were thought to contain acetylene, and crews would monitor them through the night.
