BOSSES at Suffolk's two nuclear power stations were today watching what happens with the fire dispute – but thought it unlikely it would cause a problem for them.
"We have our own firefighting team here, and most of them are also local retained firefighters," said a spokesman for Magnox Electric, which runs Sizewell A power station.
"The company is watching what is happening with the firefighters dispute – but whatever happens we will continue to operate only if everything is completely safe.
"So long as we remain confident about that, Sizewell A will continue to operate," he said.
No one from Sizewell B's operator, British Energy plc, was available to comment.
