Fire services were called after playground equipment in Ellenbrook Green was set alight.
IPSWICH: Fire services were called after playground equipment in Ellenbrook Green was set alight.
A crew arrived at the children's recreational playground on Ellenbrook Road at 6.23pm on November 8, and discovered that a plastic swing had been set on fire.
The fire was extinguished by use of water buckets however services are treating the fire as suspicious.
Local councillor Roger Fern said: “It is extremely disappointing that people would do this.
“All sorts of efforts are made to make facilities in the area of a high standard and clearly some people haven't appreciated this.
“The fact that it was done after darkness shows the cowardliness of these individuals.”
