A SURVEY of all the families in Suffolk would probably reveal that the Baldock's are one the luckiest ones around.

A SURVEY of all the families in Suffolk would probably reveal that the Baldock's are one the luckiest ones around.

For five siblings teamed up to become winners on top TV show Family Fortunes.

The clan spent Saturday night at their parents Woodbridge home watching their triumph as it was screened on ITV.

The lucky team, which comprised captain Kevin, brothers Steven, 41, Doug, 37, Clifford, 31, and sister Elaine, 35, scooped a total of £17,000 of prizes including a flash Daiwu car.

Kevin, of Schreiber Road, Ipswich, said watching the show brought back great memories for the Baldock's.

The Port of Felixstowe worker said: "We recorded it in June last year so we have almost forgot how we won the money – it's certainly all been spent now."

He continued: "It was my idea to go on the show. I just phoned up and thought it would be a bit of fun, everyone in the family is game for a laugh.

"It was our first time in front of the cameras so it was quite nerve-racking but it was a great experience.

"It was good fun, we didn't go to win we went for the experience but winning was obviously a great bonus."

Kevin said they were managed to beat their rivals by 'stealing' their points. In the final 'Big Money' round Clifford and Doug kept their cool to win all the top prizes.

As the family watched the show on Saturday the prize car was parked outside the Barton Road home in Woodbridge. Mum Kath took it off her children's hands as their were unable to share it between the five of them.

It seems Suffolk is becoming one of the luckiest counties in the country as far as TV quizzes are concerned.

Ipswich mum Jane Wharton won a holiday to Barbados after coming out on top on the National Lottery Winning Lines last Saturday.

And less than two weeks ago Suffolk County Council worker Linda Nixon picked up a cool £1,800 after beating-off the competition to win on the BBC 2 show The Weakest Link.
