EMERGENCY services were called to the A12 today after four cars were involved in a “nose to tail shunt” a police spokeswoman said. The East of England Ambulance Service was called to the scene shortly before 4pm on the London-bound carriage way close to the roundabout at Martlesham as a precaution.

The police spokeswoman said there were no obvious injuries and the road was clear.
