Free tennis sessions are being laid on in Ipswich for the next fortnight to coincide with Wimbledon, with the aim of getting more people fit and active.
Ipswich Borough Council is waiving the fee for the women and girls sessions at Northgate Sports Centre on Tuesday evenings while the tournament is on – July 4 and 11, with top level coaching, games and skills workshops on offer.
In Christchurch Park, the Tennis For Free sessions will continue for those aged four and above on Saturday mornings, where local coaches will be on hand to help people of all ages and abilities.
The sessions are run by the Tennis For Free charity, which is working alongside the borough council as part of the Ipswich Fit campaign.
