A NURSERY in the heart of Chantry has good reason to celebrate this Christmas and at the same time has been holding its nativity.
The display, performed by children at The Oaks Community Primary's nursery and early years unit, was topped off by news of a glowing report from Ofsted inspectors.
Following on from a top report for the primary school, the quality of provision at the nursery and early years unit was judged as good with outstanding features.
The report said children play a dynamic role in their learning and staff have an exceptional knowledge of their pupils and support assessment very effectively.
Delighted headteacher, Jeremy Pentreath said: “We all know how effective our nursery and early years unit is at The Oaks and this result confirms our feelings. It is just reward for the outstanding work of the whole team.”
