AN investigation was launched last night into a “suspicious” fire involving three bungalows in Essex.
AN investigation was launched today into a “suspicious” fire involving three bungalows in Essex.
The fire is believed to have broken out from propane gas cylinders outside one of the homes in Point Clear Bay, Clacton, and spread to neighbouring bungalows.
It has not been confirmed whether anyone was inside the homes at the time.
Two crews from Clacton and one from Weeley were called at around 4.45pm today and brought the fire under control within 45 minutes.
A spokesman for Essex Fire and Rescue Service said an investigation was due to take place to establish the cause of the fire.
A spokesman for Essex police, who have been notified of the incident, said it is believed to be suspicious.
