THERE was GCS-glee today as teenagers from across the area celebrated record results.
Nervous students are arriving at their schools throughout the morning and proving themselves superstars as a number of schools boasted their best results ever.
A* grades were flooding in thick and fast and nationally one in five exams were awarded top grades, making today the brightest of days for GCSE teenagers.
Emotions were running high as anxious pupils arrived to collect their results but headteachers heaped praise on their students for achieving amazing marks.
