POLICE are appealing for information today after a teenager was indecently assaulted on a bus.

POLICE are appealing for information today after a teenager was indecently assaulted on a bus.

The 16-year-old girl got on the number 753 bus from Bury St Edmunds to Sudbury in Long Melford at around 10.05am yesterday and sat on the lower deck.

A man got on at the next stop in the village and sat next to her.

During the journey to Sudbury he touched her inappropriately on the bottom. The female got off the bus at Girling Street and the man remained on the bus.

The man is described as white, in his 30s, of slim build, 5ft 3inc, with short gingery-brown hair and a prominent chin.

Police want to hear from anyone travelling on the bus yesterday morning, or who may have seen the man get on the bus in Long Melford or off in Sudbury.
