A YOUNG girl had a lucky escape when she was in collision with a car at Felixstowe.

The nine-year-old suffered only minor abrasions when she was in collision with the car in Grange Farm Avenue at 5.35pm yesterday, according to the East of England Ambulance Service.

Ambulance staff were sent to the scene but the girl was well enough to go home.

Meanwhile a 22-year-old woman suffered minor injuries when the car she was driving overturned on the B1069 Snape Road at Tunstall at 7.20pm yesterday.

The woman did not need to go to hospital after the crash.
