FIREFIGHTERS were called after a patch of grassland caught fire in Ipswich.
The fire in the ten metre by 15metre patch of grass and vegetation in Ravenswood Avenue was reported just before 9.20pm yesterday.
It was brought under control by 9.40pm.
Earlier, a crew from the Princes Street fire station was called to Grove Hill in the Belstead area of Ipswich to a small fire in a pile of rubbish.
The fire was reported at 8.20pm and was quickly extinguished.
