A ROBBER burst into a Suffolk hotel this morning and threatened staff with a handgun before ordering them to hand over cash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the raid at the Swallow Suffolk Hotel, Golf and Country Club at Fornham St Martin, near Bury St Edmunds, at just before 8am.
A spokesman said: “A man entered the Swallow Suffolk Hotel, Golf and Country Club at around 7.45am, after waiting outside for between 15 and 30 minutes. He threatened staff with a small handgun and demanded money and was given a quantity of cash. He then left the hotel. No-one was hurt.”
The raider was white with a tanned complexion, 6ft 1in tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black woolly hat, a black jumper, black combat trouser and black leather gloves.
