A MAN who handed himself into police after the discovery of Melanie Hall's remains has been eliminated as a suspect in her murder, it has emerged.
The 37-year-old went to Cheadle Heath police station in Greater Manchester at 2.45am yesterday after Miss Hall's bones were found in a bag near the M5 on Monday, 13 years after she went missing following a night out in Bath.
But Avon and Somerset Police said this morning that he had been ruled out as a suspect.
