Pumpkin carvers have been hard at work this weekend scooping out their fruits and creating masterpieces ready for Halloween tomorrow night.
Forget your average Jack O’Lanterns, this bunch of Suffolk craftsmen and women have opted for far more technical designs, taking inspiration from Scream and Nintendo’s Super Mario.
Delly Barker even got so stuck in that she created three marrow lanterns as well.
Originally it was turnips that were carved at Halloween but pumpkins then took over and in recent years the practice has become increasingly popular with people opting for increasingly intricate designs.
Many touched by the disappearance of Corrie McKeague in Bury St Edmunds have this year carved #FindCorrie into their pumpkins as a way of raising awareness of the ongoing search for the missing RAF gunner.
Tomorrow evening, houses around Suffolk will be lit up by pumpkins, a signal that the owners are happy for trick or treaters to knock.
This is another tradition which has been adopted from the Americans and has become increasingly popular in the UK.
How are you celebrating Halloween?
