TWO men have been arrested in connection with an assault in north-east Essex, police revealed today.

TWO men have been arrested in connection with an assault in north-east Essex, police revealed today.

The attack happened in Harwich on Saturday, July 18 when a man was punched and kicked on Maria Street at about 1am.

The 38-year-old man from the town was conveyed to Romford's Queens Hospital before being transferred to Colchester General Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is now recovering at home.

On Saturday, September 19, two 21-year-old men from Harwich were arrested on suspicion of assault before being released on police bail until Sunday, November 29 pending further enquiries.
