HEAVY snow is falling in Felixstowe this evening.
The wintry weather currently battering the east coast is expected to be the heaviest snowfall in Suffolk.
Eastern parts of the county will bear the brunt of the dense snow flurries, according to weather forecaster John Law of Weatherquest.
Mr Law said some parts of Suffolk will see up to 10cm settling overnight and into tomorrow.
The heavy snow is currently falling on top of wet ground after a mini thaw this afternoon.
The result will be treacherous icy roads for motorists venturing out tonight and in tomorrow morning's rush hour as temperatures plummet overnight.
