A heavy police presence on the westbound side of the A14 opposite the Whitehouse Asda on Bury Road was reported this afternoon.
The entry and exit slip roads at the Whitehouse Interchange were shut by police.
Officers appeared to be dealing with an incident involving the dog unit on land next to the A14.
There were also units on Paper Mill Lane in Bramford.
Later it was revealed a man had been stabbed at West Meadows and another victim also arrived at Ipswich Hospital with stab wounds.
