POLICE have renewed their appeal for help in tracing a Hollesley Bay prisoner who failed to return to prison last month.
David Aves, 50, who was serving two years for deception, was granted temporary home leave on Monday 8th September to stay with a relative living near Bury St Edmunds.
He was due back at the prison at 3.30pm on September 12 but did not return.
Aves is described as being white, 6ft 4in tall, of proportional to stocky build, with brown hair and blue eyes.
He has connections to the Bury St Edmunds area, Thetford and Nottinghamshire. It is thought that it is likely that he may return to Bury and police are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call.
If anyone sees Aves, they should phone the police with the details. They should not take any further action.
Anyone who may have seen him, or who may have information about where he is now, should call Suffolk Police on 01473 613500 or contact their nearest police station.
