A ROYAL Navy warship docked in Ipswich today to celebrate an historic relationship with the town.
HMS Quorn, a 750-tonne Hunt Class minehunter, moored up at Orwell Quay in the Wet Dock for its four-day visit.
Carrying a crew of 45, the ship visited to the Suffolk port last year.
Lietenant Commander Tim Neild said: “We are very proud that HMS Quorn is affiliated with Ipswich.”
The ship’s football team will be playing a Suffolk police team Whitton Sports Centre on Saturday.
