A prisoner from Hollesley Bay open prison who failed to return following a period of home leave has handed himself in, police have said.
David Dalling, aged 42, had been due to return to the prison on the Suffolk coast on Friday (May 20) following several days of home leave but was reported to police as missing when he failed to return as planned.
He turned himself in at Ipswich police station yesterday, and was subsequently taken into custody at Martlesham police investigation centre by officers.
He will now be returned to the prison system, a spokesman said.
