FIREFIGHTERS rescued a horse that was trapped in a water-filled ditch in Middleton, near Leiston, tonight.Specialist water rescue teams were called to the village just before 6.30pm when the alarm was raised.
FIREFIGHTERS rescued a horse that was trapped in a water-filled ditch in Middleton, near Leiston, tonight.
Specialist water rescue teams were called to the village just before 6.30pm when the alarm was raised.
The horse was trapped at the Breckford Bridge, just off the B1125, when the water rescue teams from Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds arrived.
They used specialist equipment and a nine metre ladder and managed to pull the horse to safety at 8.15pm.
