QUICK-thinking neighbours prevented a tragedy when they released ten horses before their stables were engulfed in flames.The stables used by the Mike Daniell Driving Yard at Hollesley, near Woodbridge, were badly damaged by fire last night but the animals were saved from injury after Carl Lennard and his wife saw the blaze and rescued them.

QUICK-thinking neighbours prevented a tragedy when they released ten horses before their stables were engulfed in flames.

The stables used by the Mike Daniell Driving Yard at Hollesley, near Woodbridge, were badly damaged by fire last night but the animals were saved from injury after Carl Lennard and his wife saw the blaze and rescued them.

It took 35 firefighters to stop the blaze spreading with crews from Woodbridge, Orford, Felixstowe and two from Ipswich attended the incident.
