FIREFIGHTERS battled for three hours to put out a house fire in Bury St Edmunds.

Three crews from Bury were called at around 11.40pm last night to a house in Horringer Road where a blaze had started in the loft.

A turntable ladder was used to reach the flames at the top of the two storey property and the fire was fully out by around 2.45am this morning.
