Around 500 cyclists of all ages and abilities gathered for the fifth annual Ipswich Cycle Swarm today, as cyclists took in the scenic Suffolk routes.
Cycle Swarm has routes of 25, 50 or 100 miles open to cyclists of all ages and experiences – including many beginners and novices – starting and finishing at Christchurch Park taking in some of the scenic routes through Woodbridge and Framlingham.
Event organisers said people from seven to 75 took part in the jaunt, with many raising cash for good causes.
Event director Matt Parkhouse said: “It’s been going really well and lots of people have been enjoying themselves.
“It’s about getting a lot of like-minded people together – novices, families, experienced cyclists, club rides – it gets people enjoying themselves.
“We get a lot of people raising money for charity and we are raising money for Cancer Research – it’s a fantastic day.”
