Ipswich Borough Council said that the pools will need to be thoroughly cleaned.
A post on Ipswich Borough Council’s Facebook page tonight confirmed that the pool was currently closed due to an undisclosed incident which required both pools at the centre to be thoroughly cleaned.
The council first alerted users to the incident at around 8.20pm this evening.
A further post 20 mins later indicated that the pool would be closed for the rest of the evening and would re-open as normal from Saturday morning.
Programmes due to take place at the pool will run as scheduled.
