Astonished Ken, 72, said: “It's truly amazing. It looks as if a green apple and a red apple has been cut in half and stuck together.”
Mr Morrish, of Colaton Raleigh, Devon, took the extraordinary fruit to Bicton College for closer examination.
“I've now stored it away in my fridge for safe keeping,” he said.
