A MAN has been rescued by firefighters after he became stuck on an island in the middle of a lake.
A MAN has been rescued by firefighters after he became stuck on an island in the middle of a lake.
Rescue teams from Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds used a boat to reach the island and assist the man, who had a badly broken wrist.
A spokesman said: βAt 10.57am today Fire Control were called to Priory Road in Hintlesham by the Ambulance Service, who requested our attendance to assist the rescue of a male stuck on an island within a lake.β
The man was treated at the scene by ambulance crews and the operation was over by 11.40am.
