A PARAMEDIC who was injured when his ambulance was involved in a collision with a car is now recovering at home.

The man was kept in overnight at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston after the accident on Tuesday, which happened in Lowestoft Road, Reydon.

A spokesman for the East Anglian Ambulance Service said he had now been released from hospital and was resting at home, adding that he had not suffered any fractures or serious injuries.

The Honda, four-wheel-drive paramedic vehicle was answering an emergency call at the time of the accident and was travelling towards Southwold.

It was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa van.

An ambulance was called to the scene and the paramedic and the female van driver were both taken to hospital. Both escaped with minor injuries.
