TWO acts from Suffolk have wowed the judges on BBC One’s The Voice - and both are now through to the next round as part of Team Jessie.

Ipswich duo De’Vide, which is made of Barny Holmes and Lex Flowers and singer Nate James, from Woodbridge, showcased their skills in front of judges Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, will.i.am and The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue on Saturday night’s show.

Nate James appeared first and Essex singer Jessie J and Irish O’Donoghue turned their chairs around but Nate chose to go with the Domino singer.

Next up was De’Vide and again Jessie was quick to sing them up.

Jessie will now mentor them ahead of the next round as they battle to earn a lucrative recording contract.

Barny, 24, said: “It will be great to establish a career and record deal, that is our goal, but doing what we love is the perfect job for us, we wouldn’t want to do anything else.

“Music has always been a part of me.”

Nate James has worked with likes of Norah Jones and Chaka Khan and has also written songs for Lemar, Craig David and Blue.
