AN Ipswich father who attacked two women has been told to do unpaid work as punishment.

Donovan Dinnie-Weall returned to Station Street only to find his home had been burgled and his camcorder containing film footage of his 14-month-old son missing, a court heard.

Andrea Reynolds, prosecuting at South East Suffolk Magistrates, said 23-year-old-old Dinnie-Weall went to see Simone Maskall who he believed had taken the camcorder.

Ms Reynolds said: "He shouted and swore at her, she walked into the bedroom and he pushed her onto the bed."

He then went into the kitchen and damaged a drawer.

The court heard that Dinnie-Weall left the property and confronted a Deborah Birch who he punched in the face.

The court heard that by pleading guilty to two common assaults and causing criminal damage Dinnie-Weall had breached a conditional discharge impose for shop lifting.

Dinnie-Weall, who was a salesman at Limited Shirts, told police he had become angry because the footage of his son, who does not live with him, were the only images he had of him.

He said he had not punched Miss Birch, but had slapped her.

Dinnie-Weall was ordered to carry out 120 hours community service and to pay £50 to Miss Maskall, £80 to Miss Birch, £30 to repair the drawer and £55 towards court costs.

He was also told to pay a £50 fine for breaching the conditional discharge.
