TRAVELLING Town fans will have extra reason to look forward to tonight’s clash at the Emirates stadium thanks to a generous gesture.
Upendra Patel, the owner of a chain of Ipswich newsagents, kindly donated dozens of drinks for fans travelling to the match via coach.
The drinks will be handed out in special Evening Star goody bags to fans on board the buses.
A total of 9,000 Super Blues supporters will be travelling to the team’s biggest game for years, which is set to give the fixture a carnival atmosphere.
Mr Patel said: “I hope this will make the Ipswich fans even more happy as they travel to the game.
“It is promising to be an amazing occasion and I’m sure the fans can roar the team on to a famous victory.
“If there are drinks left over then hopefully the fans can have some celebratory drinks on the journey home.”
