IPSWICH: Judges prepare for annual talent contest

Ipswich: One of the judges for this year’s Ipswich’s Got Talent show has said she ‘cannot wait to give her opinions.’

Crystal Main, Strictly Come Dancing show dancer and Lait Dancing expert will be one of five judges on the talent show which kicks off this Saturday at the Regent Theatre, she said: “It is very exciting and it will be a new experience.

“I cannot wait to give my opinions. I am looking for someone who stands up and holds the stage as their own.”

The other four judges will be Becky Kidd-Stanton, licensing inspector for Suffolk Constabulary, Jim Manning, community safety manager at Ipswich Borough Council, Nadia Cenci, Ipswich Borough councillor, Paul Morris, Town 102 DJ and Naomi Gornall, acting news editor of The Evening Star.

Becky said: “I am very excited and have been getting ideas on all the best lines to use from my two boys.”

Jim said: “This is my second year as a judge. If it’s as good as last year, it will be a brilliant evening. Organisers, Lorraine Arthur and Kevin Smith said ticket sales are going well and there is still a chance to get yours.

Now in its third year, the event, run by the Ipswich Community Safety Partnership and supported by The Evening Star, has worked with Best Bar None accredited premises in Ipswich to uncover the highest quality talent.
