A 44-year-old Ipswich man accused of murdering a Trimley father-of-five earlier this year has made his first appearance before a judge at Ipswich Crown Court.
Jason Ruby, 44, of Risby Close, Ipswich, was charged on Friday with conspiring to murder and the murder of Dean Stansby on February 8 this year.
He appeared at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on Saturday and his case was sent to Ipswich Crown Court where he appeared via a prison video link today (Tuesday).
No application was made for bail and Judge David Goodin remanded Ruby in custody until the next hearing on November 20.
Forty-one-year-old grandfather and father-of-five Mr Stansby died after allegedly being stabbed in Ancaster Road, near Ipswich railway station in February.
Following his death police launched a murder inquiry which resulted in Ruby being charged last week.
Today Andrew Jackson, prosecuting, said three further defendants would be charged in connection with the murder later this week.
