An Ipswich man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a Poppy Appeal collection box and dangerous driving.
The 34-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, January 5, after a BMW was involved in a collision on The Street, in Rushmere St Andrew, just before 10am.
At Martlesham police investigation centre, he was interviewed in connection with the theft of a Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal charity collection tin from a shop in Kesgrave on November 6, as well as the theft of video games from a store in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, in early December, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
Police recovered a blue charity collection box from the vehicle. Enquiries are being made to establish where it came from.
The 34-year-old has now been bailed to return to police on February 5.
