A man has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in Ipswich.
Police were called to the incident in London Road at about 8.15pm on Tuesday – it is understood to have happened near the Burlington Road Baptist Church.
The man reported to the police that he was attacked by a white man in a navy tracksuit.
Officers are carrying out inquiries and are appealing for anyone with information
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: “It is potentially life threatening and he has been taken to hospital.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Suffolk police on 101.
