A carpenter has run two marathons in two weeks to raise money for the George Woodward Foundation.
Marc Briggs, of Ipswich Jaffa running club, ran the first marathon in Brighton on April 9 and completed it in 3:09.58.
He then competed in the Virgin Money London Marathon on April 23, crossing the finish line in 3:00.49; a new personal best.
Mr Briggs raised more than £1,000 which will go towards Ipswich-based youngster George Woodward who was diagnosed with the rare condition, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), three years ago.
SMA affects the motor neurones in the spinal cord. Throughout his life George will need an endless list of specialist equipment.
