Wow, what a success.
Winston Churchill walked the streets and 18th century navy officers took a well earned break on the Ipswich Waterfront this weekend as part of a hugely successful maritime festival.
Families were treated to an array of different events, activities, and sights at the Maritime Ipswich Festival this weekend which saw an astounding 55,000 people turn out over the two days.
With historical re-enactments, a beer festival, invading vessels and music blaring there was something for everyone at the event which has been held for the first time in a decade.
Organised by Ipswich Borough Council and Ipswich Central, both agree the weekend has been a raging success.
