A shop in Broadlands Way was closed last night after a car crashed through a window.
The incident happened at 5.56pm when a silver Nissan Note mounted the pavement in the car park outside One Stop.
It then crashed through the store’s front window very close to where staff stand to operate the tills inside.
The toughened glass was partially removed from its frame, with displays inside the shop knocked over.
A police spokesman said the driver, a woman in her 70s, did not suffer and injuries and had not been arrested.
Staff at the shop were unable to comment.
