An psoriasis sufferer from Ipswich has helped her nurse win a dermatological award.

Libby Tett nominated Lucy Moorhead for helping following her diagnosis two years ago.

“She has reassured me and listened to me when no one else would,” Ms Tett said.

“She is so supportive and kind and always a phone call or email away to help with any queries or problems.”

Ms Moorhead, who works in the severe psoriasis team at Guys’ and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts won the inaugural Psoriasis Nurse of the Year award at the British Dermatological Nursing Group’s annual conference in Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Ms Moorhead said: “I was truly honoured to win this award, and so touched that Libby and other patients nominated me.”
