The man whose body was found beside the River Orwell near Ipswich railway station has been named locally as Wayne Hughes.
Emergency services were called to the riverbank by Pooley’s Yard in Ranelagh Road at around 7am last Wednesday after Mr Hughes’ body had been seen lying on the bank of the river.
Mr Hughes, who was in his 30s, lived in Ipswich. Police have said there were no suspicious circumstances and an inquest is due to be held.
Anyone in the area between 7pm on Tuesday and 7am Wednesday should telephone police on 101, quoting CAD number 32 of September 21.
