WHILE other wildlife in the park has to search for cover in these freezing conditions, this feathered cutie has found the perfect shelter.
Mabel the tawny owl has made Christchurch Park in Ipswich her home for the past year and is often spotted by keen snappers who want to capture that perfect shot.
This time, it was Ipswich Borough Council park ranger Matt Berry who managed to catch this wonderful photo of Mabel in her cosy hole up her favourite tree and amazingly it looks as though she is winking.
Despite the blanket of snow, thick ice and sub-zero temperatures, Mabel has remained on the same roost as last year during the height of the freezing weather.
The temperatures may have plummeted but this feathered friend has ensured she stays warm in the bleak midwinter.
