A TEEN was held at knifepoint while his pockets were searched and two mobile phones were stolen.

The incident happened at around 11.30pm in Belstead Road, Ipswich, last night when the 17-year-old victim was walking towards Stoke Street.

He noticed two men at the Vernon Street junction who followed him along into Belstead Road.

Just after the junction at Willoughby Road, one of the men asked the teen for the time and he got out his mobile phone.

The victim was then knocked to the ground and a knife was pressed against the back of his neck while his pockets were searched and two phones were taken. The men then walked off.

Shortly after two moped drivers, thought to be the offenders, drove down Belstead Road beeping their horns. They turned around and drove back towards the victim before driving off.

The suspects are both white, around 5ft 10ins and of a medium build. They wore black tracksuit bottoms while one wore a white hooded top and the other a black hooded top.

The victim was not injured during the incident.
